Save the NHS from privatisation! (Or at least TRY, we're not that naive.)

Ladies and gentlemen please, if you'd turn your attention to me.
I beg you, for the good of our country and my Father's pension, sign this please! =)

A few general things...picking up the pace after the [insert appropriate materialistic pseudo-religious festival here] interlude.

So, this is irritating. Of the 4 posts R3D had written up about such things as Julian Assange, controversial Anti-Terrorism adverts, Revolution on the streets of London, British spending cuts affecting children's learning etc...all of them have been erased from the system upon posting. THUS! We give our thanks at this time of year to a certain Pyrotechnic Vulpine and it's wonderful Scribefire(c) program which has caused all these problems and put us massively behind schedule. How frustrating.

Mid-type, I've decided to devote this post to the planned London march on JANUARY 29th 2011, which will hopefully see thousands of protesters from all walks of life uniting against this corrupt and steadily more totalitarian Government and making their voices heard! We at R3D hope in vain however that they will not have their fists felt...but it will happen, it's unavoidable now, as the spirit of riot and revolution is within the people and it is only a matter of time before the spark that starts in Athens creates a raging fire on the streets of London. (I am of course, referring to the typically riotous nature of Athenian protests and how the methods of their Socialist and Anarchist groups are rapidly spreading across Europe, an issue which will be addressed in a later article.)

Anyway! R3D hopes to have a reporter or two down at the march, taking photos and videos to later post on the blog. Any reports we give will be unbiased as best as possible and take an equal look at both sides of the protest, both the conduct of those on the march and of the conduct of the Police. WE WILL NOT TAKE SIDES. We will march under an Anarchist flag, (Hopefully with a small printed "R3D" logo added to the corner) and try and get interviews with individuals on all sides. Wish us luck!

DETAILS:
The first parliamentary vote might have gone through, but this is not the end! That is why, in the absence of action by NUS, the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts has called a second national demonstration in London, on Saturday 29 January.

In the New Year let’s take back the streets of London in defence of education and our public sector! Please start mobilising transport etc from your university, school, workplace or union branch for this demonstration now.

* Withdraw the lifting of the cap on fees – free education for all
* Instead of the scrapping of EMA, a living grant for every student
* No cuts to jobs, services or benefits – tax the rich to fund public services
* Student-worker unity and action to beat the government

We call on NUS to officially support this demonstration and use its resources to mobilise for it.

MORE INFO SOON AND PUBLICITY SOON – or email againstfeesandcuts@gmail.com or ring 07775 763 750

All information about the protest was received from http://anticuts.com/2010/12/15/national-demonstration-29-january-2011-london/ who have no direct affiliation with R3D. R3D hold no responsibility or credit for the information mentioned in the DETAILS section of this post.

Something to think about...

A few questions for you;

1. What is YOUR ideal political culture?

(a) If you, like me, you are an Anarchist, what would you desire for a society after the collapse of government? How would you have society maintained? Communes? Tribalism? Perhaps work towards a resource-based economy through the development of technology?

(b) If not an Anarchist, how WOULD you like to see society run? A world government? City-states? More protection and support from the Government or less? Perhaps you'd just like them to make the crucial decisions and allow everyone else to carry on as they please?

2. How do you see the "developed" world progressing in the next decade? Many believe that the USA will collapse under debt and the civil war between states, thus bringing the world economy to its knees and the entire western world at the mercy of Russia and China, but this is just one idea. How do you see the world developing?

Apathy is the death of unity.

Informed this evening in a discussion with someone that all our attempts with R3D are worthless, because "just like the protests, they don't do shit. You'll never change anything so why bother trying? It doesn't affect me anyway, why should I care what happens to other people?"
...
...
...
Really? Oh my, how foolish we've been, it is so obvious to me now that APATHY is the way forward! Put on your woollen coats and lie down to be trampled and oppressed folks, because actually believing in the possibility of a better society, a free state, improved living, that's all a waste of time! And don't even bother thinking about that tramp in the street or that student who can't go to Uni due to the costs, because it doesn't affect you directly! Why should you care?

Why should we care?

Why should anyone care?

I'll tell you why. We should care because if we don't, no-one will. We should care because it might be us in that position in the future. We should care, because it is RIGHT that we should care, because there is NO reason for someone to be unhappy, in pain, uncared for, bullied, tortured, misplaced, ignored, ridiculed, exiled. We should care, because we have the ability to feel empathy, we have the ABILITY to care and if we don't use that ability, we may aswell not be human at all.

START THINKING.

An introduction and a defense of Anarchists everywhere.

Apologies that it's somewhat stuttered and uncertain, but this is all spontaneous, unrehearsed. Just introducing myself "The Peaceful Anarchist" and saying a little about what we believe in here at R3D.

A Disclaimer of sorts...

First of all, R3D would like to say that it is not affiliated with any socio-communist groups, Redwatch or similar and does in fact directly oppose everything Redwatch stands for.
R3D is equally directly opposed to organizations such as VHEMNT, ANTIFA, and any other group or organization that actively encourages violence or discrimination towards other human beings.
We readily accept and defend their right to discuss and uphold their beliefs, but only if done in a peaceful manner.
R3D also believes in the right to free faith in whatever a person desires and does not argue for or against the existence of any specific deity or celestial being.

Welcome to R3D. Start Thinking.
